Rabies is a deadly disease that can affect human if a rabid animal bites a healthy individual. It can also be transmitted if a rabid animal licks any open wound of a healthy person. As the Rabies virus get an entry inside, it multiplies inside the human body until the symptoms become visible. The time phase from the entry of infection up to the appearance of overt symptoms is called incubation period. For rabies, it can be few days to several years.

Strep throat is an infectious disease of the pharynx and larynx causing pain in the throat, high fever and a white patch over the inner part of the throat. It is a severe form of sore throat and the causative organism is a bacterium, contrary to the simple sore throat caused generally by the influenza virus. Strep throat and sore throat – both the terms are used interchangeably and which is wrong. Strep throat is caused by Group A Streptococcus, especially Streptococcus pyogenes.
