Low carb diet or diets low in carbohydrates is a diet plan where you substitute carbohydrates of your daily food intake with protein and fat, this way, your total daily consumption of carbohydrates goes down significantly. In the past, our ancestors too, followed such diet plans because they were mostly hunters. Their food contained less carbohydrate and more protein and fat, because they mostly ate meat.
