Hepatitis means inflammation of liver (Greek ‘hepat’ means ‘liver’ and Latin ‘itis’ means ‘inflammation’). The cause of hepatitis is manifold and it may ultimately lead to cirrhosis or cancerous condition. Most common cause of hepatitis is infection of a particular group of virus called hepatitis virus.
