What is bacterial infection? – Almost everyone knows what bacterial infection is. But that doesn’t mean it is easy to prevent yourself from being infected. Knowing what bacteria are harmful to our body will help us in identifying the symptoms of infection. There are millions of bacteria and microscopic organisms residing in our body and most of them are harmless. In fact, some of them are essential as they assist our body to function normally.

On the other hand, there are bacteria known as pathogens and they intrude our body through respiratory system and causes sickness when they multiply. The type of infection symptoms will vary depending on which body part is affected. Bacterial infection will usually lead to a life-threatening situation known as sepsis. It happen when the infection has spilled over to the bloodstream. The common symptoms include headaches, colored nasal discharge and the sign of respiratory tract infections with the occurrence of inflamed throats. And the infected individual will experience vomiting, nausea and diarrhea when his digestive tract is being infected.

What is sinus infection? – Sinus infection or sinusitis can occur when the nasal passage or sinus is inflamed. The symptoms of sinus infection include pressure or tender feeling around the nose, cheeks, forehead and eyes area. The infected individual might even experience painful headache. Other infection symptoms include fever, cough or congestion in the nose area.

The sinus infection can occur and disappear in a sudden if the right treatment has been given. The infection can last as long as eight weeks if no proper treatment is being done. And you probably should know that most of these sinusitis cases are considered as chronic. The sinuses function as protection for the skull and making it feel lighter. It also helps our voice to echo inside it. There are about 4 pairs of sinuses connecting nostril and nasal passages.

What are the symptoms of bladder infection? – Infected individual will usually experience pain on their back and lower abdomen, chills, fever and urinary frequency or urgency even when there’s actually very little urine coming out. The infected individual will notice their urine to be bloody, dark, cloudy and foul smelling.

The recent statistic has revealed that 20% of women will experience bladder infection at least once in her life. While there will be about 15% of men will experience this. In fact, bladder infection is known as the second top reason for adults to get medical treatments.

Most of the time, bladder infection symptoms are just mere indications that kidney disease, diabetes and bladder cancer is developing.

People who are active sexually will have higher risk of getting bladder infection. But the risk can be reduced by making sure that you’re urinating before and after making love. Wearing loose clothing and cotton underwear which allow air circulation can help to reduce your risk of getting this infection as well.

Other than that, people with diabetes will also have higher risk to develop infection as they have higher blood sugar level in their urine allowing the bacteria to multiply.

These are just some of the symptoms of infections that you should be aware of.
