Is Swine Flu Vaccine Effective

Considering that the swine flu is infecting anyone regardless of their age and gender, it is easier to say that the effectiveness of swine flu vaccine will depend on who is being vaccinated. One thing that is certain about the H1N1 vaccine is, it is generated by using the exact virus that is causing the swine flu. With that being said, it means that it is better than the seasonal flu vaccine where it only has about 70 to 90% efficacy to fight the flu.

And the good thing is, the swine flu vaccine is known to help 92% of pregnant women to develop enough antibodies with just one dose. And of course, a normal adult who is healthy will need just one dose to protect themselves against the swine flu.

But trials that have been done seem to suggest that children should take two doses of vaccine to ensure they develop sufficient amount of antibody to protect them from the swine flu. This is because only 30% of children below 10 will develop immunity against the flu with just one dose of vaccine.

There is also a possibility that people with immunocompromised syndrome, such as HIV patients will need at least two doses to build their immunity against swine flu.

With that being said, there is no doubt that the swine flu vaccine will work, but some people will probably need two doses in order to develop the adequate antibody to fight against the swine flu.

Is the 1976 Swine Flu Vaccine Still Effective?

During the 1976 swine flu vaccine, 48 million Americans were treated with the vaccine to build their immunity. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC were assuming that one to 10 per million people will develop serious reaction when treated with the vaccine. The result from the vaccination has causes 532 people to develop the Guillain-Barré syndrome which means there are 1 out of 90 thousand people was infected by the life threatening disease. 25 out of the 532 people died as a result and there were more who developed serious symptoms that has affected their life.

With that being said, I would consider the 1976 swine flu vaccine as pretty effective in its function to treat swine flu but, that doesn’t mean I will consider to use it as a treatment option for swine flu. I will explain why.

Is the Swine Flu Vaccine Safe?

This is probably one of the most important questions that you should ask if you’re planning to take the swine flu vaccine because it involves the matter of live and death.

The first point that you should know is the fact that there are two forms of vaccines to choose from. The first one comes in the form of nasal spray, while the second one is in the form of injectible shot.

The nasal spray is actually using live virus, while the latter using dead virus. I would suggest you to use the injectible version simply because the nasal mist is too new and not much medical discovery has been done with it and you’re basically a test subject if you decide to use this for your vaccination.

You should get the vaccine yourself before you decide to let you children to use them. Observe and see if it causes any side effects. Once you’re satisfied, then you should let your spouse to use it. Only let your children use them if both of you are not experiencing any complication.

You might want to let your children to use them one at a time. Start with the eldest first. This can ensure maximum safety unless if your children are not related genetically.

You can reduce the toxic effects causes by the vaccine by knowing what type of supplements to take, foods you shouldn’t take and one simple tip that involve using a cold pack on the day you’re getting your flu shot. These are pretty basic safety tips but they can be very helpful so make sure to pass the information around to any of your friends who took them.

Using the flu vaccine comes with their own set of dangers. You probably notice that 532 people were getting the Guillain-Barré syndrome and 25 of them were killed because of the vaccine. That number actually shows that there are more people who died because of the swine flu vaccine than the virus itself.

There are two very dangerous elements – mercury and aluminum hydroxide. You might want to know that excessive exposure to mercury will lead to strokes and heart attacks, while aluminum hydroxide is a controversially linked to Alzheimer’s disease. So you might want to find out if your family members have any medical history of getting diagnosed for Alzheimer to avoid from the negative effects.

i think that in asian countries the Swine Flu did not spread rapidly compared to those countries that are located in colder climates. we should still be very thankful that the swine flu did not cause massive infections.
